the metal monofilaments in warp and weft.

Shielding effectiveness for fabrics and knitted goods
A good shielding effectiveness is achieved only with fabrics which contain
equally distributed monofilaments in warp and weft. Knitted goods polarise
and show a measurable protection effect only in one direction. As far as we
know, protective knitwear which shields in both directions has not yet been discovered.
